Just returned from an extended trip to NY and HK. I’ve come back to a China without Twitter and Facebook. If Beijing is following the YouTube playbook then we might not see them again for a while.
Let’s call it ‘platform blocking’. Beijing isn’t banning individual sites or even servers anymore – it’s taking complete networks offline.
